School Uniform
Most schools will require that their pupils wear a specific school uniform. This can sometimes be a hassle for parents are buying the appropriate uniform can sometimes be expensive, particularly if the school insists that their own uniform with a specific insignia has to be worn.
Most schools in the UK will typically require their pupils to wear a collared shirt and tie, a blazer with the schools crest, pressed trousers and smart shoes. Most high street shops will sell these items for a lot less than the school's uniform shop, so it's possible to save money this way. Also, if your child has had siblings attend the same school before them then they're likely to inherit hand me downs. Some children who have wide feet might find smart leather shoes to be uncomfortable to wear all day. However, it's possible to buy special wide fitting shoes that will be much more comfortable. Some shoe shops will have a limit selection of wide fitting shoes available, but you're really better off looking online as there are plenty of specialist retailers who will stock a variety of wide fitting shoes.
Some schools will also insist that children have to wear a specific uniform when playing games. This can be a real head ache for parents as it can push the cost of buying a whole new uniform up even further. |
